The Senior Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for controlling costs, negotiating contracts, contract management, building supplier relationships for the requirements and specification of parts/materials required by customers. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will create purchase strategy documents for required commodities, set & achieve yearly cost reductions, create RFQ’s for suppliers and compare supplier quotes to determine sourcing, negotiate lower pricing, issue PO’s in AS400, set up new suppliers, and complete NAFTA documentation. You have post-secondary education in Purchasing Materials Management/Supply Chain Operations, 2-3 years purchasing experience, excellent communication skills, Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) considered an asset.
