Human Resources Generalist – 1 Year Contract

Cambridge Full-Time 1 Year Contract

Our Cambridge non-union manufacturing client is recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist. This is a 1 year contract position. Reporting to the off-site VP of Human Resources you will be the first point of contact for all Human Resources related activities including employment, compensation, payroll, employee & labour relations, benefits and employee services.
You will be responsible for payroll, attendance, maintaining employee files and human resources training programs.
You will assist management in recruitment, interviews, coordination of temp workers, prepare and post internal and external job postings and prepare offer letters.
You will plan and conduct employee relation activities; new employee orientations, complaints, assist managers with disciplinary actions, advise managers in appropriate conflict resolutions, and work to foster positive attitudes in the workforce.
You will assist in the termination process, advise managers in the interpretation of company policies ensuring best employment practices are followed.
You will stay up to date on employment legislation and ensure the human resources department is in compliance.
You have post secondary education, a Human Resources designation, 4 years practical experience and excellent communication skills.
